New: Blue24 Endgame Races
Now that we've entered the home stretch of the 2024 election cycle, I've decided to go ahead and boil down the ~720 or so Democratic candidates I've been raising money for until now down to just 240:

I'm just a concerned American citizen doing what I can to help save democracy, decency and the planet by electing as many Democratic candidates as possible at the federal, statewide & especially local (state legislative) levels.
This is not a PAC, it's just a site with links to ActBlue pages where you can donate directly to one, two or dozens of Dems running for office at once. All funds go to the campaigns listed; I receive nothing.

Now that we've entered the home stretch of the 2024 election cycle, I've decided to go ahead and boil down the ~720 or so Democratic candidates I've been raising money for until now down to just 240:
Yesterday three more states were crossed of the 2024 Primary list: Alaska, Florida and Wyoming.
In ALASKA the only result which impacts my fundraising page was in HD-040, where Democrat Robyn Burke came in first. Unfortunately, it turns out I can't add her to the ActBlue page...
Four more states held their primaries yesterday: Connecticut, Minnesota, Vermont and Wisconsin.
In terms of my fundraising project, only Minnesota and Wisconsin are relevant, as state races in Connecticut are pretty much all funded publicly, while Vermont is so solidly blue I don't even bother promoting the...
Lost in the midst of the craziness over the past several weeks have been various tweaks I've made to some of the fundraising pages. I figured I'd include them all in a single catch-all post:
Four years ago, at the end of July 2020, I had raised a total of $692,000 for Democrats up & down the ballot, broken out as follows;
As I've written about numerous times, there's two schools of thought when it comes to which candidates Democrats should be donating to. The "pragmatic" philosophy says that you should only support winnable races--that is, candidates running in tossup districts/states, or at least in races where the demographics suggest a reasonable chance of victory instead of "wasting" resources on candidates who have little to no chance of winning.
The poster child for this was Amy...
The candidate filing deadline has now passed for major party candidates in all states (including the ones which held their legislative races in 2023), so I've updated my spreadsheet breaking out the percentage of legislative districts where Democrats are running at least one candidate.
Across all 50 states there's a total of 7,385 legislative districts: 5,412 House/Assembly seats and 1,972 Senate seats.
However, of those, many aren't actually on the November...
Rhode Island is a solidly blue state which only has a handful of competitive legislative districts; I'm mostly including this page for completeness sake, but it certainly doesn't hurt to have a quick link to donate to the state Democratic Party!
All donations go directly to the funds listed; I receive nothing.

Delaware is a solidly blue state which only has a handful of competitive legislative districts; I'm mostly including this page for completeness sake, but it certainly doesn't hurt to have a quick link to donate to the state Democratic Party & Democratic legislative caucus funds!

I kind of lost track of things over the past month or so due the ongoing drama at the top of the ballot; I completely forgot that NEW HAMPSHIRE's filing deadline passed in mid-June. I've gone ahead and revamped the NH page to include the following competitive seat legislative districts:
